Canada’s own Mark Hominick has earned his UFC featherweight title shot at UFC 129 through years of hard work and dedication.
One of the best strikers in the featherweight division, Hominick may be the most dangerous fighter that the champion, Jose Aldo, has ever faced.
Aldo himself is perhaps the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, despite this being his UFC debut. Aldo isn’t afraid to be stepping into Hominick’s home of Canada. He did the same thing against Urijah Faber and absolutely destroyed him.
Hominick is listed as a big underdog in this fight, but is a very talented fighter who is ready to shock the world.

Judges’ Decision
All three judges score the bout (correctly) for the champion, Jose Aldo.
The problem is that judge Doug Crosby scored the fight 50-43 in what must be the worst scored fight I have ever witnessed in my life.
Classy post-fight interview from Mark Hominick who thanked John McCarthy for not stopping the fight. It’s tough not to love this guy. What an awesome display of heart from a guy who just refused to give up.
