With UFC 126 just days away, the Rich Franklin-Forrest Griffin bout could be a definite contender for the ‘Fight of the Night’ to go in direct competition with the Middleweight title bout of Silva-Belfort in the main event.
The two fighters come into this fight on Saturday with big wins over major fighters by way of Franklin knocking out legendary Chuck Liddell at UFC 106 and Griffin beating Tito Ortiz at UFC 115 by decision.
In the career of Franklin with the UFC, the veteran has posted 13 wins out of 17 fights with the UFC promotion dating back to 2003 while winning the Middleweight title in 2005 against Evan Tanner.
As for Griffin, he has had only 13 fights since winning the Ultimate Fighter in 2005, collecting a record of nine wins and only four losses.
