Gray Maynard is a pretty laid back guy outside the cage, but something's been eating away at him for months. He still believes he did more damage in his January fight against UFC lightweight champ Frank Edgar.
The spin on the fight has also irked Maynard. Many fans and media members focused on what Edgar overcame to stay in the fight. Maynard feels a bit disrespected because few are pointing out what he overcame in the fight.

After SEVEN YEARS apart, UFC pain machine Brock Lesnar is getting back into business with the company that put him on the map -- WWE -- in a deal that will make him the "featured star" in a brand new video game.
Multiple sources confirm ...the people developing "WWE: 12" approached Brock back in January and asked for permission to use his name and likeness in the game and the advertising campaign.
On Wednesday, UFC president Dana White explained why he was fine with the new deal for Lesnar.
Lesnar's long term future is truly a fight-by-fight proposition in MMA. He's battled diverticulitis over the last 18 months.
The former WWE star is scheduled to face Alistair Overeem on Dec. 30. If he loses, who knows? From the UFC's standpoint if the wrestling game further promotes Lesnar, it certainly can't hurt pay-per-view sales for his MMA bouts.
As great as it is to watch the best athletes perfect their craft in dominant performances, few would disagree that the one thing that might be more entertaining is a big upset from an underdog.

When 2011 goes in the books the UFC will have put on 27 events. It’s been a blistering year for the organization and the fans. There have been great events, awesome fights and some really big news.
Going into 2012, Dana White said that the UFC plans on holding an astounding 34 events over the course of the year.
Many fight fans are thrilled with the news, but much like any announcement there are going to be detractors. While I am not necessarily one of them, I do think there are some negative things that could happen as a result of holding so many events.
UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz broke his hand when beating Demetrious Johnson on Oct. 1. His performance had UFC president Dana White raving about Cruz's toughness. Though he's had hand injuries before, Cruz needed surgery this time to repair his hand.
He had that surgery this week, and he was kind enough to share that the picture of his hand just after the procedure.
Look at the size of that thing. Remember that Cruz is a bantamweight, but his hand is so swollen that it looks like he's borrowing Shane Carwin's 4X paw.

At one point Thiago Alves was a star in the welterweight division. He was knocking people out and dominating those he couldn't. He had problems with making weight, but he was exciting enough that it was ignored.
And then he lost to Georges St-Pierre.
After that he went on a losing streak while still struggling to make weight. It got to the point where Dana White almost demanded that he move up to 185 pounds.
Instead Alves got his weight problem under control, but he still has lost three of his last four fights.
